Considering the Grand Prix has been keeping HUD in the cars for twenty years and the Bonneville also featured it, will the new Pontiac G8 that is replacing them feature HUD? It is very useful as I rarely ever look down at the speedometer. BMW even features a more advanced system displaying more info in more colors. So why would they kill it off?

There is much speculation on what the G8 is going to be. Replacement for the Grand Prix? For the Bonneville? Both? Who knows, but one thing I'm sure of: As of this very moment, there is no HUD for the G8. I'm sure that will change, since HUD is an important part of modern Pontiac culture, but will they have it before they start shipping 'em? We'll see. Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes open for more news. Good place to keep tabs, aside from the usual car magazines and websites, is http://pontiacunderground.autos.yahoo.com/ . I'm right there with you, hoping that this car will live up to the hype and not be another flop from Down Under. (No offense to Holden, but in order to revive Pontiac legends we need to start from scratch, not use existing models from overseas).

I think it will the G8 is supposed to be like the four door grand prix and the GTO combined into one car. personally if I where in charge I would have never of destroyed the grand prix name by changing it into a front wheel drive car I would have just left it a rear wheel drive car all along. also GM should of changed the new GTO from a sleeper to a sporty looking car. I mean when the GTO first came out it actually looked like it was already a dated designed from the start the car still had styling from the late 90's that alone limited its sales potential.
